We are seeking a Partner to join our expanding Washington, D.C., team. This leadership role is central to driving business development, managing client engagements, and leading teams in a dynamic, collaborative environment. We know how to help clients adapt and succeed in this fast-paced, ever-changing political climate, you know where to find them and how to bring them in.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales and Business Development:
- Leverage existing relationships with key stakeholders across industry, government relations and lobbying firms, and trade associations to grow the firm’s client portfolio.
- Actively identify and pursue new stakeholder relationships and pitch and close new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to create and implement strategic growth initiatives for the firm.
Maintain and nurture client relationships to foster retention and identify upselling opportunities.
Strategic Campaign Management:
- Develop and execute data-driven strategies to engage and persuade target audiences.
- Oversee the creation and implementation of direct advocacy campaigns tailored to client needs.
- Provide strategic counsel to clients to ensure objectives are met and deliverables exceed expectations.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team to ensure successful project execution.
- Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation, accountability, and professional development.
- Actively contribute to the firm’s internal culture and overall success.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2+, preferably more, years of experience in communications, legislative, lobbying, or political roles with candidates, Members of Congress, Presidential Administrations, or party organizations.
- Strong network of relationships on Capitol Hill, within the advocacy community, and with potential corporate clients.
- Proven track record in sales, client acquisition, and managing business development initiatives.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills to inspire and guide teams.
- Exceptional presentation, communication, and negotiation abilities.
